AFTP Trigger Actions

This section describes the AFTP Trigger Actions. Accelerated File Transfer is a proprietary protocol developed by JSCAPE.

Below you will find a couple of notes regarding this group of trigger actions.

All the AFTP actions include a required hostname field. Since AFTP Is a proprietary JSCAPE protocol, this means that target system (hostname) field will connect to an MFT Server that has the AFTP service configured.

If the AFTP connection and credentials fields are going to be used in more than one trigger action (it could be the same AFTP trigger action, and/or different AFTP trigger actions), it is recommended that you create an AFTP trading partner, then use the appropriate Trading Partner action, where you specify the AFTP Trading partner in the Connection > Partner field. Should anything about the AFTP connection or credentials change, you only need to change it in one place – on the configured AFTP trading partner. This is a key benefit of using a Trading Partner action. It helps reduce creation and maintenance time of trigger actions.
