JSCAPE SaaS Technical Overview

JSCAPE offers MFT Server as a cloud-based Service (SaaS) solution. Below you will find information specific to the JSCAPE SaaS environment.

 

High Availability

 

  • MFT Server runs on Kubernetes Clusters which supports high availability in regards to the cluster, but not the MFT Server application.

  • Database instances use regional clusters for high availability.

  • JSCAPE monitors the service around the clock. Any issues with the environment are actively monitored, and corrective action will be taken within the provided SLA.

 

Disaster Recovery

 

  • Disaster recovery is supported within the Region.

RTO = 15 mins

Back Up

 

  • Database - Daily snapshots of all DB instances are taken. The snapshot retention period is 7 days.

  • S3 Buckets (prod and non prod) - Backups are enabled and performed daily. They are retained for 7 days.

     

Data Retention

 

  • Data retention is customizable in the MFT Server Admin user interface. These settings govern data retention.

 

Patching

 

  • Updates are performed in maintenance windows.

    • In the future we will enable this with a restart/update via the cloud portal.

 

Monitoring

 

  • We use various internal monitoring and alerting tools.

 

Security Controls

 

  • The JSCAPE SaaS architecture is designed so that no specific knowledge of, or access to, the underlying infrastructure is required. Each customer operates in a dedicated zone within the JSCAPE cloud. Users connect to their SaaS environment via a web browser, accessing their own environment using the URL provided by JSCAPE. Because the JSCAPE cloud is running in the Amazon Web Services infrastructure, it benefits from all of the built-in security measures provided by Amazon.   • All communications between the user and the JSCAPE SaaS environment are secured with HTTPS / TLS 1.2+ and an SSL certificate.

  • JSCAPE SaaS production environments are committed to a 99.95% uptime SLA.
